Honestly this coffee shop is excellent. The cakes are too die for! I particularly loved the gluten free selection of cakes, sausage rolls and pastys! The coffee is incredible, and the staff are super friendly. The atmosphere is also brilliant, and we managed to get a lovely little seat looking out on the water. Pure bliss! I highly recommend 🙌🏻

Thank you so much for your review! We loved meeting you guys and so happy you loved our little sandwich shop much as we do!

Looks like a family run independent cafe, and fish shop with lots of freshly caught seafood next to each other, that is also reasonably priced. The seafoods and crab sandwiches are always fresh and the staff are quite friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in their trade. I always buy the seafoods there due to the fair prices and good hygiene whenever we are in Salcombe. It is the real treasure for seafood lovers. And also the Yawl cafe is one of the few and best place for a light bite in Salcombe, serving a large range of delicious made-to-order paninis and toasties and great coffee! Owners and their team are always very welcoming, willing to help and seem happy to see you no matter how busy they are!- Service

Bought a toffee, apple crumble slice (delicious and melted in the mouth) and flat white for the drive to Dartmouth. Both were great! There’s also a nice viewpoint just next to this lovely small cafe.

A popular lunchtime spot for takeaway made to order sandwiches and hot and cold drinks. Had the crab sandwich - pricey at £12 but tasty.

I really wanted a crab sandwich but at £13.50 pre-packaged from a hole in the wall establishment, it's just too much. What's the world coming to! So decided on the ham cheese and pickle toastie at £8.50. Not sure what I expected (breville style?) but it was scrumptious, huge chun…More reviews
I really wanted a crab sandwich but at £13.50 pre-packaged from a hole in the wall establishment, it's just too much. What's the world coming to! So decided on the ham cheese and pickle toastie at £8.50. Not sure what I expected (breville style?) but it was scrumptious, huge chunks of good quality ham, melted cheese with an artisan pickle. Freshly made with lovely toasted bread..Very tough to eat as was going everywhere. Very very nice, would recommend. Well done guys.- Service

Thanks so much for the lovely review! The gammon, cheese and chutney is a favourite and we’re really glad you enjoyed it!
We happened to come across this cafe by pure accident on Sunday after doing no research at all and boy was it worth it. Lovely and helpful staff, tea how you like it and lovely chicken sourdough baguettes. I can see why it has good reviews on here and I would totally recommend it to anyone. Cakes looked amazing too.

Visited for a quick lunch and picked this little shop for the first time. What a revelation! The tuna melt sourdough sandwich was outrageously good! In all honesty, I can’t think of ever having a better one. Had a chat with the owner just to express my compliments and talked me through the ingredients, which were clearly chosen with care. For a very normal price, this was an exceptional treat!

Was lovely to meet you guys and thank you so much for the review! Safe travels home!
Amazing Sourdough toasties and fresh seafood / deli sandwiches and coffee....all served with a smile...definately reccomend!
First visit here delicious baguette with quality bread - makes a change from a good filling let down by inferior baguette. Friendly service, easy to order / buy from kerbside with my dog and reasonable price. Fabulous and a solid 5 stars from me :-)

Thanks for your fab review Dee. We're chuffed to bits you enjoyed your lunch from us. Hope to see you again soon. Peter
Fantastic sandwiches - great selection of imaginative fillings, not just the usual ham / cheese / egg / tuna. All made freshly with choice of breads including some pretty good gluten free (wish I'd asked where it was from!) Great customer service too - they made us some early sandwiches to take on a day trip.
Delicious sandwiches/wraps/baguettes/ toasties and cakes. With very friendly service. Pop into Barefoot boy while you wait to buy some great kids clothing.
